If i find the time, i'm going to work on this page... it needs it. Yinmaru ( talk) 09:54, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
While the Biological and Behavioral Models have an evaluation, even with some criticism, the other two models are a lot less detailed. Furthermore, there is no criticism of the Pyschodynamic Model, and it is claimed to "just work". I'm not an expert, but I do know this claim is highly debatable 201.235.249.18 ( talk) 14:51, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 ( talk) 02:56, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
At the end of the paragraph discussing the cognitive model is says "it has also proved to be quite successful in the treatment of compulsive disorders and phobias, although it doesn't deal with the cause of the problem directly". I would argue that saying that it doesn't deal with the cause is not worded correctly, as, according to the cognitive model, which says that personality and behaviour can be explained in terms of cognitive processes, a psychiatrist using this type of therapy would be actually dealing with the problem directly. Of course it will not be dealing with the problem if we assume a biochemical standpoint, but from a cognitive point of view it is dealing with the problem. 93.39.158.22 ( talk) 11:34, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
