|I would agree with this statement. I'm deleting him from the list.
Also, I wonder if Katie Detlefsen shouldn't be added simply for her four-peat of the state golf tournament and owning most state girls' golf records. Peter Gawtry 19:19, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
In this diff I removed the line regarding perfect scores on both in 2005. (Names ought to have been removed anyway.) While certainly worthy of note, if the article notes scores in 2005, then it should also mention the other years in which students got a perfect score on one or the other. In recent years, to the best of my knowledge, perfect scores have been registered several times; it makes no sense to only mention one of the incidents. Either they all get mentioned, or none of them do. (Furthermore, the scores need attribution, as they were not, nor ever have been, in the history of this article, cited.) Hello fellow Wikipedians,

My prayers for the students and staff. Please avoid trying to keep up with breaking details of the event. This is an encyclopedia, not a newspaper. A summary is all that is needed right now. As details become clearer, we can add things that can be confirmed. No need to add speculation. Photo removed, as it is a blatant copyright violation. Couple of quick things: I have pictures that I took when I have been down to the site (since I took them, I guess I own the copyright but unsure on quality since I took them with my phone...I can go back with my DSLR if that's of use to you). Also, today Aug 21, 2017 the preliminary report was issued by the NTSB, I've got the PDF if you'd like a better source than local news.
mea culpa, from the articles I've read...not much has changed from what is already written here other than a few more details on the work being done and Minnehaha Academy staff warning others...perhaps a quick check by one of us or someone else here to be sure it is still accurate.

Please correct me if I am mistaken but it appears several categories are listed under the history heading, when they should be listed individually under their own headings (i.e. extracurricular activities and academics are both under history) thank you

Thank you John. I figured the gas explosion should just be mentioned under history...should I move the building collapse to history and make section headers for the categories you suggested?
Mregan1913 ( talk) 22:31, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
made those changes as discussed and changed it to died from "lost their lives" to correct that mistake as well

additionally, it may be worth adding a heading on campuses, Minnehaha Academy (as I'm sure you know) has two campuses that are on the river parkway. South Campus has the school's ice rink and football field. North Campus has older, historic buildings (I don't think they were listed on NRHP) this was one of the heading suggestions from the Wikipedia guide to schools, but I was not sure if it would be unnecessary for this page.
Extracurricular activities could use revision or editing as it appears people have added to it whenever a team won a state tournament with no real organization, jumping back and forth between categories and teams (although several recent wins are missing (i.e. baseball 2017, debate 2015) I suggest that sub-heading 1 be used for sections on performing arts, debate, and athletics since these are what appear to be the overarching topics in the section. This would help clarify the paragraph by providing order, and correcting misinformation. But that would require further discussion here to ID changes.

sorry to hear that, reply when you can

Thank you. Of course the eclipse takes precedent, even the partial eclipse here in Minnesota was incredible to see...making plans for 2024.
one more thing...it appears someone edited the history section and just used a few paragraphs from the school's website, so it doesn't sound like a NPOV. Two books have been written about the school, although the school owns the copyright on one of them. I presume, and correct me if I am wrong but would the book that the school did not own the copyright on be preferred or is the NPOV only for the articles. I could certainly give a try at a revision for that section as well for approval here on the talk page...my work may be slightly delayed because I'm in the middle of studying for the LSAT but this has been a fun study break. Thanks for working on this page and giving a new guy some pointers.
