Canada has a " Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food"? What in the world is "agri-food"? And what, pray tell, is the difference between agriculture and agri-food? Save, us, please. Madman 20:15, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Minister of Agriculture (Canada) → Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food (Canada) – The department has been called “Agriculture and Agri-Food” legally since 1994 ( Act of Parliament), and we tend to be pretty proactive in renaming and moving articles to match the proper title. The only reason I’m putting the request in is because this page has had the same naming since it was created in 2003, so I wasn’t sure if there was some precedent why we hadn’t moved this page. This would also match the Department’s page. ArmosNights ( talk) 14:59, 22 November 2019 (UTC) —Relisting. Spraying crops before harvest:. As the honorable minister is from PEI, he may not be aware that farmers are spraying their crops before harvesting their grain. They use a product that is similar to Round up to dry the grain. This leaves some residual dangerous chemicals on the grain. As well it must be dangerous for farmers. Europe does not accept this practice as I try to eat only bio grains I try to avoid this risque. However most Canadiens are not aware of this practice. Chemical companies promote this costly practice,,, it must stop. As well it will start to prevent export of Canadian grain! 184.144.201.15 ( talk) 15:09, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
