What are the chord maps of the various devices? -- Treekids ( talk) 23:24, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Photo attached of the original microwriter together with an MW4. The original has the same footprint but is higher and made as a vacuum-formed cover rather than an ABS injection moulding. It is white rather than brown/yellow. The photos were taken by me and may be copied freely to this wikipedia entry without issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.215.7 ( talk) 13:04, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

The black markings on the older model are due to plasticiser that leached out of the vinyl carry case. The machine had welded itself into the case. The D-type connector on the near end is 9 pin only.
Quinkey redirects here with no explanation in the article. Can we mention what bearing Quinkey has on this technology? Unfortunately I don't know. 81.151.13.199 19:33, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
"The Microwriter was an innovative product, and was endorsed by writer Douglas Adams." Does anyone have evidence for this? I knew Douglas at the time, and I'm pretty sure I never saw him with a Microwriter. I was a keen AgendA fan and user, and this is certainly something we would have discussed.
