"so he introduced Michael to an agent who then hooked him up with
Charles Conrad to study acting for six months."
Who is this? IMDB didn't give anything obvious, and I don't think this reference is refering to the former astronaut. --
Kaszeta 16:15, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
The Charles Conrad being referenced is apparently an acting coach. Terri Garr was one of his students. I see a lot of online references to him and his studio, but no links to anything useful. This is the best I could find:

The first thing you see when you enter this article is Worf's picutre. then, if you scroll down a bit, you see a picture of Michael Dorn, Without the Worf makeup. should'nt that be the other way around? --
Captain Proton, 28 aug 2005
The first no-makeup image was not public domain, but there is a public domain one in the
german article. I don't know how to get it into the english WP. Maybe someone else could do that. --

I don't have a source for it, but I've met Mr. Dorn (briefly) at a convention. I'm 6'5" and Dorn is slightly shorter than me; I'd estimate around 6'2".

Adventures From The Book Of Virtues - this is a TV series in which he was in one episode, but it's listed here as a film? All other info in the line is correct though. Don't know how to change it myself.

Er, I think he also appeared in a certain number of Star Trek TNG episodes? Maybe one or two DS9 as well? Shouldn't this be listed in his TV appearances? — Preceding

Lazy eye?
In the latest episode of
Heroes (
An Invisible Thread), it looks like Dorn's eyes are looking in different directions when he is looking at Sylar in the limo. Does anyone know if he has been diagnosed as having a lazy eye? –

yet another star trek fix
It says that it was never mentioned on screen that Col Worf is Lt Worf's grandfather.
I may be wrong, but I have been backed up by someone else, I recall Worf and Dax discussing how his grandfather helped kirk. It's also mentioned throughout ST:TNG that his grandfather's name is Worf, and mentions some accomplishments the elder had.
So no there was no "Col Worf is my grandfather and he was the defense attorney for Kirk...", just the single DS9 refernce does say it.
I won't be editing the wiki to reflect this, as I don't feel like finding the episode or anything to back it up - but I welcome others to :D ~AeSix

The article says that Michael Dorn appeared "as Worf" on the show Webster. I am skeptical of this because Webster wasn't a sci-fi show, so I have a hard time understanding why a Klingon appeared on the show, but I didn't watch Webster much so I don't know for sure. Can anyone confirm or deny that Michael Dorn did indeed appear on Webster as the character Worf? — Preceding

Voice of Prometheus on Arrow
A source has been provided for Dorn being the voice of Prometheus on Arrow, but it reads like an opinion piece, with no third party confirmation. Just wanted a consensus that this edit should be reverted.

I agree. I'd note that there's so much garbage code on that site that it took me about five tries to actually get to the "About" link, never mind read it. When I did read it, it didn't exactly inspire confidence. Reverting presently.

The question is where did they get the item about Dorn from. I can't find any other verifiable info that he is doing voice work for this. As it states at
WP:NEWSBLOG "use them with caution because the blog may not be subject to the news organization's normal fact-checking process" and nowhere in that article do they state where they got their info from. As I gave in my example above people can be wrong when they guess who is performing voice work. IMO we need more than just this source before it is restored to the article.

I didn't quite finish my thought - if you can find another source that would help to resolve any questions. I know that actors do uncredited work but there is usually some acknowledgement somewhere of their involvement in a given project.

Talk03:00, 7 March 2017 (UTC)reply
Collider.com conducted a poll for who the voice was and people chose Michael Dorn, the problem with the citation is pretty obvious to me. However looking at his first two film roles down as uncredited without citation also. I guess if you actually see the actor in the movie that's different, even still, can we not run a consensus here to include it or not??

We could, but it would be a waste of time.
WP:RS is perhaps the best-respected guideline we've got, and for good reason. In the unlikely event that local consensus was at odds with the long-term, community-wide consensus, guess which one would prevail?
RivertorchFIREWATER13:51, 7 March 2017 (UTC)reply
Thanks for the info Govvy. A poll about who is voicing the role is clearly not a RS, since all involved are
guessing. Until a verifiable source can be found the item does not belong in the article.

@
Govvy: I know how frustrating this can be. From experience it is highly unlikely that the page would be protected and even if it was it would be for a short period and this editing would, no doubt, resume. Those of us who have the page on out watchlist will just keep reverting - and who knows maybe a source will be found one day. BTW the reverts can scratch the itch that is
editcountitis :-) Hang in there and cheers.

I'm not sure I'd call it preemptive to protect the article at this point; the problem edits are numerous and ongoing. It would be well within standard practice to request semi now, and I rather suspect it would be granted—but I don't think it has quite risen to the level of needing that just yet. My suggestion would be to wait a few more days and see how it goes. In the meantime, if we're concerned with following the letter of policy to the nth degree, we'd better all watch out for 3RR if the disruption does become more frequent.

citations
I see there are two citations on the credit for Arrow now, but I've often considered TV.com an unreliable source, should we be using that second citation on the credit?

If there is only one questionable source supporting a bit of information, then the likelihood is that said information is not noteworthy. There's no rush here; when other sources start talking about it, then we can put it in.

Vegan bit
A user changed the little bit in personal life to Dorn practices veganism. From Dorn is a vegan. Is it me or does it not role right when I say it? I preferred how it was before it was changed. And how important is that to the article, it seems very trivial to me.
