Sallicio's first comment is copied from my talk page ( here) in regards to the Berwyn Heights raid. I am starting discussion here so we can keep things centralized as this is not the first time this information has been added and then removed. KnightLago ( talk) 21:14, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
I can appreciate the author's intention; however, I would submit that the whole subsection is inappropriate. As it stands, the section is in serious need of a rewrite and needs to remove some of the
POV tone that the Berwyn Heights Section contains. The first sentence is obviously misleading. Jackson was technically in command (as he is also in command if someone puts too much toilet paper in a toilet at their headquarters and causes it to overflow flooding 500 square feet of office space ruining thousands of dollars of taxpayers' office equipment. Is Jackson personally to blame for that, too?). However, he was not on scene and was probably unaware of the event and at home when it happened. The event, at the time, had no reason for Jackson to even be notified let alone to actually be on scene as the section implies. The highest person involved was probably a lieutenant. The way it is written, it makes it sound as if the Sheriff himself was on scene hooting and hollering with his six-shooter waving in the air. POV-pushing terms such as "botched" should be removed. The whole subsection wreaks of anti-police/law enforcement sentiment and does not conform to the quality standards set forth within this wiki.
Notwithstanding that the section is inappropriate for inclusion within this particular article, I would proffer that the author rethink the tone of the subsection and rewrite it to conform to WP:NPOV and WP:BIO. Happy editing to all! -- It's me...Sallicio! 02:57, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Looks bueno to me!-- It's me...Sallicio! 01:19, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
A large amount of material was removed from this biography by User:Teriarog who has not edited any other articles to date. This was done without explanation or consensus on the talk page and only removed material that may have reflected poorly on Mr. Jackson (the charitable foundation was left in the article, the shooting of family pets was excised). This appears to be a WP:POTENTIALCOI or a possible whitewashing of his article. For the time being, I am reinstating the removed content but welcome comments or feedback. - Ich ( talk) 20:13, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
Anyone have an issue with moving the page to take away the "sheriff" part and replace it with "politician". Jackson recently won a seat in the Maryland House of Delegates. It's me...Sallicio! 06:14, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
