Maximilian Dood is notable because he meets the notability guidelines for both people and web-content, as videos of his have been featured in reliable outlets like Eurogamer, VG247, Newsweek and The Verge, and various other outlets have significantly written about him as a person such as Fortune, Gamepur, Digital Trends and Distractify. In addition, his activities in the fighting game community have been documented by other reliable outlets, such as his #FreeMVC2 campaign being covered by Polygon and CBR, and his tournaments receiving coverage from Dot Esports. Other projects he’s done include his episodes in Did You Know Gaming? and being featured in upcoming game Jitsu Squad.
Also, in case the reviewer sees the credible claim of importance in the lead (“considered a prominent figure in the fighting game community”) as too “promotional,” it actually is a provable and verifiable statement. The CBR source which mentions his MVC2 campaign begins with this statement: “Maximilian Dood, a YouTuber and influential member of the Fighting Game Community…” and so does Fortune: “The 38-year-old L.A. native is the most successful and prolific content creator in the fighting-game community…” Dot Esports also refers to him as a “fighting game community advocate and figurehead” as well in each of the articles they’ve written about him.
Overall, there should be enough sources to verify him as a notable YouTuber, Twitch streamer and fighting game community member. The only issues I foresee with this article is maybe his birthday; while I didn’t cite a source for his birthdate, it is publicly available on both his videos and social media, and his age has also been mentioned in some of the sources. Also, if the quotations/apostrophes look different than normal, it’s because I typed this article in Google Docs beforehand. That can be fixed later. Other than that, there hopefully shouldn’t be any problems with the article, but if there is, message me here on the talk page before declining or accepting the draft. I assume it’s quite unorthodox, but I would appreciate it. Thank you for reading!
P.S. If someone can also find a suitable image for him, that would be great. Thanks in advance! PantheonRadiance ( talk) 02:00, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Overall:
Article is new and long enough. Earwig looks good and sourcing is good as well, and the hook is certainly interesting (and cited in the article), but is slightly too long. No QPQ is required as nominator does not yet have a DYK credit.

Seems a shame to let this die for four characters.

@ PCN02WPS, Rotideypoc41352, Heythereimaguy, and BlueMoonset: Hello, everyone. I just wanted to say thank you guys so much for accepting the DYK nomination for Maximilian Dood and improving it. I was initially excited to nominate the claim and checked the character count to see if the fact was too long (when I checked my original DYK nomination on a word counter online, it clocked out at just barely under 200 characters), but once I saw the response PCN02WPS gave me (actually the edit summary of it "being a bit too long"), I admittedly got cold feet and out of fear that it wouldn't get accepted, I didn't respond for a couple days. That coupled with both schoolwork and extracurricular club obligations meant that I didn't get a chance to discuss the nomination with you guys and see how I could improve it. I should have been there to talk you guys about it from the start, but I guess my fear of criticism led me to avoid the discussion in the first place. I apologize for such cowardice, and if I ever do make another DYK nomination I'll try to be more attentive when responding to editors. Anyway, I appreciate you guys for fixing the DYK nomination for me in my absence and managing to get it on the front page. I have to find a way to give you guys a token of appreciation someday! :) PantheonRadiance ( talk) 09:43, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
