Interestingly enough, while Denaro may be on the FBI's radar, I can't find any info on him from the FBI website. And the gangstersinc website is about the only place I can find info. Maybe if someone could find anymore info on him would be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.174.30.26 ( talk) 12:14, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

He has been officially named as Provenzano's successor. [1]
Maybe this article should contain that information. Then again even though Provenzano wishes Denaro to take his place it might not happen. Maybe we wait? Your call. -- Alexbonaro 05:13, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
All this talk about "capi di tutti capi" is a lot of nonsens. No pentito ever mentioned it. The Mafia is not a hierarchical organisation with a "boss of bosses" at the top. It is more like a federation of independent families. Mafia Expert 22:28, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

The article said
Messina Denaro began his criminal career at the age of 18 as a bodyguard and a professional killer according to a book by Petra Reski after being introduced by singer Elena Zagorskaya to the D'Ali family
I don't have the book to check - if it does say this then the text is valid - but the article and sources clearly establish that Matteo's father was connected with the D'Alis, so I've removed this from the article, please reinstate if it's supported.
Best wishes, Pol098 ( talk) 11:46, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Messina Denaro died yesterday (25th September 2023). The article should be updated do reflect this. 94.34.113.10 ( talk) 06:17, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
