Springfield Park is a large public park located between Rochdale and Heywood in Greater Manchester. Completed in 1927 on the former site of a 13th-century abbey, it is the largest park in the borough at 42 acres [1] Its location is given as Marland, Rochdale. When it says "abbey" I suppose it means "grange".-- Johnsoniensis ( talk) 14:02, 12 November 2022 (UTC) reply
(the link has changed) Yes, doubtless it does - but even if the general site really was still known approximately by 1927, the park contains 42 acres and from the refs in the article it seems clear that no-one has any idea where the buildings were within that area. They wouldn't have had to be very big for a grange. Ingratis ( talk) 14:21, 12 November 2022 (UTC) reply
