Hi, been reading a lot of articles about these traditional japanese sweets, and I have found this one to be the only one that I can not figure out what it actually is. I think the first paragraph is very vague and never actually describes the food directly. Especially this sentence: "They are boiled together again and kneaded." They who? What? Just a heads up I suppose, to someone that does know about this food. Eddie mars ( talk) 15:23, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
I think the title and all uses of the word in [romaji] should be spelled "manjyu" with a "y". Or is there a historical precedent that prevents this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.233.176.38 ( talk) 04:41, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm not aware of any system of Japanese romanization that would render じゅう as "jyu". Hepburn renders it as "jū" and Kunrei-shiki as "zyuu." English Wikipedia favors Hepburn, and the title of this article is definitely the correct Hepburn romanization of the word. Mtp85 ( talk) 23:18, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Aren't 饅頭 also Chinese steamed buns, eaten by the northern Chinese? There should be a disambiguation page about savoury 饅頭 and sweet 饅頭. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.199.110.226 ( talk • contribs). 16 January 2005
First of all the English doesn't make sense; second, lamb chops? Sounds like utter nonsense to me since lamb chops aren't eaten in Japan and presumably weren't in the past. I'm going to delete this stuff completely.-- DannyWilde 23:25, August 31, 2005 (UTC)
This proposal is not actually by me, but by User:Stevey7788. That person has suggested that the relatively new article Usukawa Manju be merged into this article on Manjū. The standard procedure is to have a discussion here, and if others agree to the merge, or there are no comments for 30 days, the merge can be done by Stevey or anyone else. Thanks. --- DOOMSDAYER520 ( Talk| Contribs) 23:05, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
