There was an article on the mining of deep ocean manganese nodules at
Metal mining, I merged and redirected it into this article. The mining section needs to become a little stronger integrated but actually isn't bad.

There is a reference to the effect that the nodules were first discovered in 1803, not 1868: http://www.cartage.org.lb/en/themes/Sciences/Earthscience/Oceanography/OceanSediments/Manganesenodules/Manganesenodules.htm
Is this source credible? If so I'd like to update the page to reflect this.

Ferromanganese nodules appears to be a synonym for polymetallic or manganese nodules. Multiple reliable sources support this, eg. [1]. Hence I propose to merge Ferromanganese nodules into this article. Lithopsian ( talk) 17:04, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
