I would say, those locations are well connected. They are the (relatively) old neighborhoods of Manama. Fareeq means neighborhood and Souq means market. To me, they are clearly districts of Manama which happen to be located around the souq. However, these neighborhoods are relatively small and I would merge them in one article, but not Manama Souq (perhaps name it
Manama old neighborhoods?). If more clarification is needed, just let me know. Mohamed CJ(talk)21:28, 6 June 2012 (UTC)reply
Thanks, that's really helpful. So are those articles incorrect in saying, for example, "Fareeq el-Fadhel is a district in the Manama Souq"? Shouldn't they instead say, for example, "Fareeq el-Fadhel is a district in Manama"? –

That's correct. Basically, the market has grown so big and many Bahrainis moved from these neighborhoods leaving them to Asians which led to the fading of these names on an official level. At least that's my POV.
Looking at
Google maps, it seems as if Fareeq el-Hammam, Fareeq el-Hatab and Fareeq el-Makharqa are considered as a part of Manama souq (no mention for them at all) and the others have their own names. However, I remember reading a road sign for Fareeq el-Makharqa. Mohamed CJ(talk)09:25, 7 June 2012 (UTC)reply
