The result of the move request was: moved. ( Mamadi CamaraMamadi Camara (soccer, born 1995), Mamadi CamaráMamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003)) ( closed by non-admin page mover) ~ Aseleste ( t, e | c, l) 10:04, 3 April 2021 (UTC) reply

– Names are basically identical, except one has an accent on the a, and the other doesn't. In keeping in line with national vairations, move
the Bissau-Guinean Mamadi Camará to Mamadi Camará (footballer) and
the Canadian-Guinean Mamadi Camara to Mamadi Camara (soccer)

Update: This has gotten super-messy with many counter-proposals. I'm going to update this and re-ping everyone

Support moves to Mamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003) and Mamadi Camara (soccer, born 1995), and creation of dab page. Giant Snowman 21:00, 26 March 2021 (UTC) reply

Support counter-proposal, supporting User:Ortizesp's proposal as per long established precedent. The issue with using nationality as a disambiguator is that nationality can change, same with soccer/football, place of residence can easilly change too, whereas birth year cannot. \/ RE-VOTE

Support Option 1 or Option 2 Camara no accent is Canadian and identifies as Canadian per sources, so should be soccer per WP:NCSP and WP:LANGVAR. Normally, nominator doesn't vote, but with 4 options proposed, including counter-votes, I would think that modifies that RedPatchBoy ( talk) 03:18, 27 March 2021 (UTC) reply
Support Option 2 or Option 4. I originally proposed option 4 since, as per the RfC, There's a consensus here that national variations of English alone are not sufficient to disambiguate these athletes, and there is also a rough consensus to include nationality as a disambiguator in these cases. But, that's not exactly a policy, so if consensus prefers dates, that's fine. 162.208.168.92 ( talk) 03:38, 27 March 2021 (UTC) reply
Support 2 or 3, no preference between those.-- Ortizesp ( talk) 04:02, 27 March 2021 (UTC) reply
Support 1, 2, 4 and 3, in order of preference. 1 is the shortest and most direct, 2 is also useful in easing the identification by highlighting the eight-year age difference between the two men, 4 is likewise useful in identifying the men by nationality and 3 is acceptable, but ranks last as a result of blurring the differentiation and conflating "footballer" with "soccer". — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:10, 27 March 2021 (UTC) reply
