Malawi was one of the Geography and places good articles, but it has been removed from the list. There are suggestions below for improving the article to meet the good article criteria. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

The placement and content of the "Women in Malawi" section of the article is fairly odd. Based on what the other major sections of the article are, it should probably be a subsection under one of them rather than its own standalone section. It would probably fit well under either the existing "Demographics" or "Human Rights" sections of the article. Additionally, the tone and grammar of the section are noticeably odd. It reads like something that came directly from a government task force or committee, instead of how informative sections are usually phrased for articles about nations here on Wikipedia. I don't want to just singlehandedly decide which parts of that section need rewriting or rephrasing, so I was hoping we could get some consensus here on what should remain in the section as is, what should be removed, and what should be rewritten or rephrased. The language section of the infobox is being reverted back and forth by myself and user RC88. They keep blanking the language section of the infobox claiming there are no sources for the information. I have tried pointing out how the source listed clearly states the information there. User RC88 insists that it does not use the exact wording of national and regional languages so it is not a correct source. I insist that those parameters are not required to have that.
What is the consensus for this so the edit warring stops? Wkpdsrnm2023 ( talk) 00:46, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Multiple cases of missing citations/unsourced content and need for greater comprehensiveness on topic (particularly in certain sections). May also need some updating (neither the History nor Health sections talk about the COVID-19 pandemic, which I think should be mentioned and definitely has RS on). General cleanup and miscellaneous work is also needed in many sections. Dan the Animator 07:34, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
