Booby?

Why would its name be based off of a bird if it doesn't seem to have any bird-like characteristics?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by M C Y 1008 ( talkcontribs) 09:52, 1 December 2006 (UTC). reply

Guess I forgot to sign this. Eh, someone took it out already anyway.— M_C_Y_1008 ( talk/ contribs) 00:01, 25 January 2007 (UTC) reply
It's back in. Guess somebody should tell them that Magmar is called Boober in Japanese. I'll see if I can fix this. - Jeske ( v^_^v) 04:40, 5 March 2007 (UTC) reply
I think it's based off Boo, as in, the classic ghost noise. 66.63.86.156 23:38, 22 June 2007 (UTC) reply
No, it would have to be based off of Magmar's Japanese name. btw, why are you posting to a three-and-a-half-month-old conversation? - Jeske ( v^_^v) 00:10, 23 June 2007 (UTC) reply

English name

Can you please change the name of the article to Magmortar? From User:Wolf Link 555

Dude, why do you think this article is protected from moving? Because we need a GOOD source. TheBlazikenMaster 17:24, 5 April 2007 (UTC) reply
Yes, we need a source that complies with the English-language Wikipedia's guideline for reliable sources. Serebii doesn't, as his information is attributed to an anonymous source. –  mcy1008 ( talk) 20:58, 5 April 2007 (UTC) It does'nt matter where Serebii got their information from, his resources are always dependable. Maybe so, but Serebii.net has sometimes done mistakes, that's why it isn't relable enough. Besides now the name has been confirmed. TheBlazikenMaster 13:19, 16 June 2007 (UTC) reply

Incorrect Information?

In the article, it says that you have a 5% chance of catching a magby holding a magmarizer. However, I thought that if you have diamond, the chance of getting a magmarizer is boosted to 50%? KjtheDj 00:03, 1 July 2007 (UTC) reply
