Subject matter
This article is about the whole trail, which ran from near Cadillac north to Mackinaw City as Mackinaw Trail, then across the Straits from St. Ignace north to Sault Ste. Marie as Mackinac Trail. It's not about just the roadway in the UP that's currently designated H-63. The fact is that the two sections were related to each other, just the spelling differed based on the peninsula of Michigan.
