I live in Manhattan and have never met any person who would have any idea what you meant if you said "Avenue C Line." Subway lines are called by letter — the C runs local on 8th Avenue perpendicular to the purported Avenue C Line — bus lines by number with a letter (or two) in front to indicate which of the five boroughs. M21 redirects here and that is where this page belongs, with a redirect there from Avenue C Line.
