I think we should switch between paragraph titles : Nigerian Music Industry & M.I's Contribution; M.I's success need not be confined to Nigerian music industry, neither does it seem he played a "special" role in creating/promoting it. 5.151.82.44 ( talk) 16:50, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
The section M.I#Controversy is not only badly written and unencyclopaedic in phrasing, but is in fact peeled from this page: M.I vs Iceberg Slim word for word in areas, without attribution. This section may need to be rewritten somewhat. 41.58.31.250 ( talk) 01:28, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
PS I want to make it clear: the entire section is lifted (without attribution) from Wazobia FM. Bokoharamwatch ( talk) 13:37, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

There is no rationale given for the choice of MI vs M.I vs M.I. all of which appear in the article. Given that the initialism appears to be chosen mainly to leverage confusion by similarity to the Mission Impossible films, it would probably better to use his real name instead.
