Lythraceae is of the Dicotyledons Class.
There are 31 genera in this family as currently defined, based on the Angiosperm Phylogeny website, which is a secondary source and cites numerous sources supporting a circumscription of 31 genera. One primary source that is still choosing to circumscribe the Lythraceae narrowly with 27 genera should not take precedence in the lead section of the article. I've changed the number of genera in the lead back to 31 and moved the reference to the genera section where the 27 genera of Lythraceae sensu stricto are listed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaoakley ( talk • contribs) 14:24, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
