Current status of the Lost Worlds IP

This should all go into the article, but I don't currently have the time to carefully edit it. I contacted Nova Game Designs over the status of the Lost Worlds and Queen's Blade gamebooks, and they've confirmed to me over email that:

  • Firelight Games has suspended operations after Jill Leonardi gave Nova Game Designs permission to sell the intellectual property.
  • The Lost Worlds' property, along its web domain, were transferred to the German publisher Ulisses Spiele, and the remaining stock was sent to its US subsidiary. This had already been confirmed publicly in this 2023 blog post ( archived).
  • The Queen's Blade license was also transferred to Ulisses Spiele, and they think Hobby Japan will keep publishing Queen's Blade books under that same license.

Note that, as of writing, Ulisses Spiel has parked the lostworlds.com domain as a redirect to their website, and doesn't seem to have made any public statement on their acquisition of these two IPs or their future plans. Rikamg ( talk) 11:28, 5 July 2024 (UTC) reply
