-NOTA DESDE MÉXICO-
Aunque el artículo afirma que, respecto a los fundadores de Los Ángeles en 1781, “The earliest Hispanic settlers of all of California, not just Los Angeles, were almost exclusively from the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Sonora”, en realidad las cifras no coinciden con esto ya que, si hacemos la suma conforme a la tabla que más abajo presenta el mismo artículo, se observa que solamente 16 de estos pobladores eran originarios de Sinaloa, frente a un total de 28 pobladores que no eran originarios de Sonora y Sinaloa. Así pues, entendiendo que el término utilizado “Sonora y Sinaloa” hace referencia al sistema de intendencias que comenzaba a imperar en la Nueva España para esa época, entonces habría que considerar que la suma de los pobladores originarios de la Intendencia de Guadalajara (los hoy Nayarit y Jalisco) sumaba 12 personas en total; los de la Intendencia de Durango (los hoy estados de Chihuahua y Durango) fue de 11 personas; más el español originario de Cádiz y su familia de 4 integrantes que, aunque se afirma que su esposa era india, ni para ella ni para sus hijos mestizos se especifica su lugar de procedencia que, conforme las circunstancias observadas, la tendencia indicaría que no fueran originarios de Sonora y Sinaloa, sino tendencialmente del resto de las regiones mexicanas igualmente implicadas.(Although the article states that, with respect to the founders of Los Angeles in 1781, "The earliest Hispanic settlers of all of California, not just Los Angeles, were almost exclusively from the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Sonora", actually the figures do not match With this since, if we make the sum according to the table below, the same article shows that only 16 of these settlers were originally from Sinaloa, compared to a total of 28 settlers who were not originally from Sonora and Sinaloa. Therefore, understanding that the term used "Sonora and Sinaloa" refers to the system of intendancies that began to prevail in New Spain for that time, then it would have to be considered that the sum of the original inhabitants of the Intendencia of Guadalajara (the present states of Nayarit and Jalisco) totaled 12 people in total; those of the Intendencia of Durango (the present states of Chihuahua and Durango) was of 11 people; plus the Spaniard from Cadiz and his family of 4, who, although his wife is said to be Indian, neither for her nor for her half-blooded children is her place of provenance, which, according to the observed circumstances, would indicate that they were not Originating in Sonora and Sinaloa, but tending to the rest of the Mexican regions equally involved). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.201.177.65 ( talk) 15:17, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
There needs to be editing adjustments to this article. Being a member and Vice President of "The Los Pobladore 200", descendants of the founding families of Los Angeles. http://www.lospobladores.org
Being that most of the original settlers were "Part" or of "Mixed Culture", there are some racial origin errors present. Some of these racial errors are vague, while some are blatently in-correct. Though many historians have written from old and some bias sources, the corrections need to be addressed in leu of updated correct information. I hope that our organization of "family descendants" can set the record straight, and can contribute additional facts dismissing various myths and heresays about them.

As the original article contributor and as an educator in the Los Angeles School District, I created this page not only to add to Wikipedia's knowledge base but also to show my students the commonality we all share. Since I have been teaching school in central Los Angeles, I have seen incidents of racial violence increase and have looked for ways to ensure that my students not be a part of this statistic. Since part of our curriculum involves how language is used to write history, our class studies language in the story of Los Angeles, their home. By revealing the entire story of Los Angeles, which is often overlooked or deviously omitted, hopefully students and the public at large will understand how many groups worked TOGETHER to form what grew into a great metropolis. All of my sources are verifiable, scholarly documents which do not rely on conjecture, fear-based, loaded words and catch-phrases like "myths", "hearsays" and "racial errors".
(By the way, my students and I have for several years walked along with the Pobladores descendants and Mayor Villaraigosa on the reinactment. ) HRHclg ( talk) 23:23, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
If you have not personally met any of the descendants, You are welcomed to contact our organization and discuss directly the issues and matters with some of those direct descendants of founding families of Los Angeles.

I agree that those who dispute the castas - or "race origin" - data presented in this article and in numerous other sources should explicitly state what errors they feel exist. It's funny that I see the same few members (or former members) of Los Pobladores 200 arguing on websites that the "ethnic information" is wrong, yet they failed to provide proof and most often give absolutely no specifics about what in fact they are disputing. I have yet to see or read of a modern scholar or historian who has said the widely reported castas data is incorrect. The only hints of dispute I've seen from LP200'ers is - not surprisingly - all centered around lessening or eliminating the recognition of African ancestry amongst los pobladores. — Preceding

There is conflicting reliable source data as to whether there was a Filipino who was one of the Los Angeles Pabladores.
