Should this article mention Samwei Mburia, a Kenyan man who claims to have been born in 1906? If he really was born in this year, he would be older than Maria Branyas. In 2023, he received a medal from King Charles the Third for military service, so may merit his own Wikipedia article. YTKJ ( talk) 22:23, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

There are a number of sources confirming that Hermann Guntherberg is not a real person, and that the original story about him was a hoax, and the image used to represent him is of a British centenarian called Francis Morris (b. 1914). The hoax appears to have been picked up by a number of "reliable" sources, particularly in non-English media (which appears to be the case for the source used in the list).
Given this evidence, Guntherberg should be removed from the list. LaMenta3 ( talk) 20:49, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
