Shouldn't the Full list of Vehicle manufacturers from the OICA list be in this article and the list in Automotive industry be Top 20 just for a glance, to keep that article about the overall industry, brief sections about the industry in each country, current company relationships, joint ventures, and current and past industry woes. -- Viddea9 ( talk). 04:54, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Rather than maintaining this article as an almost exact duplicate of the section in the automotive industry article from which it was copied, I have a suggestion to transform it into a more useful and complimentary article. How about renaming it to something like "List of current automotive marques", and maintaining a table of active marques or brands? The table could have sortable columns with the headings something like: "Marque", "Country of Origin", <Vehicle types>, "Marque owner", "Parent company", "Group", "Markets". Now that would make an interesting article, especially being sortable on any column.
