I am curious if something different should be done with incidents in which the suspect is killed or injured in a separate location than the shooting(s) they committed. At least two incidents meet this criteria thus far on this article: 01/21 Preston Heights & Joliet, IL & 05/12 Ridgeland, MS.

In both incidents the suspect committed their shooting(s) in a single location or general area before fleeing to someplace else where they then died. Should these incidents and future potential incidents have a note similar to the one we use when a suspect is killed or injured in the victim tally but beside the location or should the place where the suspect was killed or injured also be noted in the location of the incident no different than for example how Ridgeland, Preston Heights, or Joliet is listed?

If we added notes they could either be copy and pasted like the aforementioned notes were currently used or unique notes that mention exactly where the suspect was injured or killed and what date as well. Raskuly ( talk) 01:45, 15 May 2024 (UTC) reply

In order to discontinue edit warring about the amount of injured in this particular incident I have started a section here to discuss it.

In previous incidents in which there are casualties as a result of something other than a gunshot we have described the other injuries in the description and not included those casualties under the dead or injured.

The amount of casualties as a result of this shooting incident is currently reported at 12, however two of those have non-gunshot injuries, therefore the total injury count in the column is 10 and the other two injuries have been noted in the description. We've previously listed incidents which happen outside of unincorporated areas as being whatever county or parish the incident occurred in. However, Pennsylvania is divided into townships and the location of this attack happened in Connoquenessing Township. Personally I am in favor of continuing to list incidents such as this as happening in a certain county irregardless of whether or not a state has townships or not for the sake of consistency, but I'd like to hear opinions on this.
