I am not having much luck figuring out what the colors represent. Red or blue for the names, several different colors for table cell backgrounds. A legend would be handy.

The chart appears to have a missing piece: no one is listed as Lieutenant Governor for 1991–1993. Is there any reason for this? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro ( talk) 00:57, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Governor Richard Snelling died in 1991. Lieutenant Governor Howard Dean succeeded to the governorship. Vermont law does not have a provision for filling the lieutenant governorship in the event of a vacancy, so the position remained vacant until Snelling's widow Barbara won the 1992 election and was sworn into the position in January, 1993. (Vermont's statewide officials serve two year terms.) Billmckern ( talk) 14:43, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
