Structure fires destroying large structures (e.g., factories, hospitals, large apartment blocks) or public infrastructure (e.g., trains, bridges, highways)
Fires producing more than a couple of deaths, or a large number of injuries
Fires attracting international attention (e.g., the BBC writes about it)
Major fires that might have been preventable if government safety standards were strong and enforced
Exclude:
Ordinary "everyday" fires (e.g., an accidental fire when you're cooking dinner, with no injuries or deaths and no other buildings destroyed)
"Private" fires (e.g., a single home, and the only people harmed are the people who live there)
Fires that are primarily car wrecks
I particularly hope that this page will become a home for fires that might have borderline notability.
