Hmm. I wonder what Dinosaur (film) would count as - animation or film? The characters were all computer generated, but the backgrounds were real-life things. -- Sparky the Seventh Chaos 10:29, Aug 26, 2004 (UTC)
If that really counts as a fictional dinosaur, I didn't watch the movie, whose name I do not even recall. I hate when I can't remember something... -- Extremophile 20:37, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I see that there is very little maintenance on this article, as such I am going to begin cleaning up including the following itemized things I plan to do:

== Loch Ness Monster? I notice that all four of the entries under "mythology" are African cryptids that sound a lot like dinosaurs; if that's the case, then I think maybe the Loch Ness Monster (and maybe some other lake monsters) should be listed as a pleisiosaur. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.62.78.94 ( talk) 23:27, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
Despite the lead claiming that this list is limited to well-referenced fictional dinosaurs, we have no references in an article that is somewhere around a decade old. Once I remove the unsourced information, the page will be empty. I'm going to do that when I get back from vacation, and I hope that someone comes along in the meantime and provides some backup for this really poor list. So to be clear: I will fix the problem by removing uncited assertions of notability.--~ T P W 21:50, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

There ought to be more fictional marine reptiles (plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, ect.) (though I like to call them and pterosaurs "Pseudo-Dinosaurs". 2600:1700:6841:4980:E120:B893:BDAA:E5B8 ( talk) 05:10, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
