Piotrus: The table is confusing. Not just the problems I mentioned, but there are characters that do not exist on the Witcher books, as Dara. There are also several minor characters as Yurga, that are not enough relevant to be mentioned. The page is a list of the book characters similar to the
List of Harry Potter characters, not for all the universes and adaptations of this saga. Miaow02:05, 1 April 2020 (UTC)reply

Piotrus: A series is the "series of books". It's clearly stated in the introduction. If it was for the franchise, I'd say franchise. The descriptions of each character are from the books. Also, please note that the videogames are different and that they are not cannon. We can't turn this page in a list of characters to the entire franchise, because the videogames and tv shows (Netflix) have different characters stories and characters that do not exist on the books. I'm not agree. Discussing is first before reverting edits. Regards. Miaow02:40, 1 April 2020 (UTC)reply
The characters you want to mention in the table should have their own description in the next section, like everyone else, for a better structure. However, you should know that it wouldn't be a good idea to use the story line of video games to add additional descriptions to some characters, like Eredin for example, because video games are not considered canonical by the author himself.
Regarding television series, it also has differences with the book, and it would not be appropriate to add the plot of the characters of the series either. This page was supposed created to the books characters, so it should stay like before and not turning into a confusing thing. Miaow02:57, 1 April 2020 (UTC)reply
The intro states that the fictional universe was created by the series of books. Which has since been expanded, including the video games and TV series. Let's ping other editors involved here and see what they think, to gauge consensus for or against the table:
User:Ausir,
User:Metro3000,
User: Satellizer,
User:Lacon432,
User:Staszek Lem (editors chosen using page history tool).
Then this page is more confused that I used to believe. It should be like the list of Harry Potter or another series of books with adaptations
The Maze Runner (series). It's not mentioned all the adaptations, actors, voice actors, etc in the characters section. This is my last comment. Regards. Miaow03:40, 1 April 2020 (UTC)reply
I am fine with this, I just wanted to save anon's good faith work. Through I am still not convinced the term "The Witcher series" refers to books these days. Few years ago, before Witcher 3 and the TV show, sure, but now a lot of people think of the The Wicher series as either the video games or the TV show. They may very well expect to find this article to discuss all of the franchise. And let's face it, neither the games nor the TV show did introduce many memorable characters, pretty much all major characters are from the books. So the article doesn't need to change much to accommodate the entire franchise. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus|

Please avoid
WP:NPAs. I came here after I saw good faithed edits by an IP being swept away by reverts with no talk page discussion. Per
WP:BRD I restored the version I think is better and started the talk page discussion. That the IP editor does not realize there is a talk page discussion he should participate in has nothing to do with me. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus|

Admin note: I have fully protected the page for two days while you all work this out. The purpose of full protection is to stop edit warring and hopefully to avoid the need to block anyone. Please continue to discuss here, stay cordial and do not insult or accuse each other, and hopefully reach agreement. --

Just to clarify, a series can refer to a book series, a television series, a video game series, but in no case all of them together; for this we use the term franchise (Toy Stoory (franchise)]]. The introduction of this page refers to the book series and the descriptions are taken from the books, so my only reason for participating here is to make sure that this page doesn't become confusing by IPs adding descriptions of the series and video game universes, which have differences to some point. As you insist that this page can be interpreted as covering the whole franchise, the source material and its adaptations, I will make a brief clarification in the character descriptions, indicating that these correspond to the books, so readers can know what they are reading. About the Overview, keep in mind that there is an ongoing series planned to have up to 7 seasons, and as a suggestion there should be a note about Dara's character, since he only exists in the Netflix series universe, because as it is, the reader will not have information about it. Regards. Miaow11:49, 2 April 2020 (UTC)reply
I don't think we need a list just to mention the actors for now, unless we have more information. But the page does need to be more specific, so I've created a section for the cast. Since the books are the source material, they get priority. I added a note in Dara's character. Regards. Miaow15:09, 4 April 2020 (UTC)reply
This is the consensus on en wiki with which I generally agree, although I think some non-English Wikipedias which don't allow fair use have decided to use them instead (Polish, for example). That said, there are some pretty solid cosplay pictures - but also, what I saw on pl, is that sometimes people use really ablysmally crappy/cringy pictures instead. Names of actors in the TV series
The article gives information about the characters in the book, and for some of them also the names of the actors for these characters in the TV series. But the latter seems unrelated to the content of this article. Maybe it should be removed.
