This show has been around for more than 10 years now, I think that is long enough for separate pages for main characters like Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda. Who is with me? — Preceding

I had created drafts for the trio last month via AFC, awaiting review by
Robert McClenon. Vicky is way overdue while I have zero certainty of creating Chloe as of late.
Even Fandom Wikia retains a copy of the opening credits title screen, and Vicky is clearly shown there along with the other major characters.

"With an evil babysitter, a hyperactive dog, and off-the-wall parents, Timmy Turner is just your average boy navigating his way through childhood in his little town of Dimsdale. But while other kids are dealing with their parents, Timmy is busy managing The Fairly Oddparents. Wait… What?!
When Timmy has a problem, all he has to do is turn to Cosmo and Wanda for some magical, mystical and totally outrageous solutions. With Fairy Godparents as wacky as Cosmo and Wanda (and as cute as Baby Poof), Timmy gets more "help" than he bargained for, and some awesome adventures too!"
That’s not a reliable source [personal attack removed]. It does not have an actual list of who is in the main characters category. Vicky is a villain, not a main character. The intro is also not valid either. Leave the article alone or else you’re gonna get it.

The opening credits to a TV show is definitive as to who is main cast in the show, or not. Period. If this character is listed in the show's opening credits with the other main cast, then they are "main" cast. End of discussion. Further, cast should never be divided into 'Protagonist' and "Antagonist'/'Villain' sections anyway, as per
WP:TVCAST and
WP:ANTAGONIST. Finally, I am giving IP 208.83.112.200 a warning for
WP:NPA. --

I agree with that other IP. The opening credits do not always reveal who is main. They can also have supporting characters within the opening credits as well. [personal attack removed] and once the page is no longer under protection, I’m vowing to continue edit warring and you guys should really burn in the fire. Thank you. Have a great weekend, [personal attack removed].

@
IJBall: I haven't watched Fairly OddParents in years, but as I recall, the opening doesn't have any "credits", it just showcases certain characters, so I don't know how much weight we should throw behind who is or isn't appearing in the opening. And as far as I'm aware, animation doesn't have a separate set of guidelines to help clarify on this (ie saying characters in the opening should or shouldn't be considered "main"). -

The next thing to check would be the end credits to see if there are crediting "categories", or a crediting "order". But I know at least some animated shows do have meaningful opening credits – e.g. Big City Greens. --

AngusWOOF, that doesn't justify Vicky being a main character. Timmy's parents are also in the opening and ending credits, but that doesn't make them main characters. The Nickelodeon link you showed early doesn't justify Vicky as a main character either, since it also shows Chester, AJ, Timmy's parents, and Jorgen. They are also not main characters either. Stop making excuses.

(
edit conflict) Main just means production considers the character important to the story and a prominent important character. It has nothing to do with being a protagonist (hero) or an antagonist (villain). The question is how important is this character, does the production illustrate her prominence by the credits placement, and if she is prominent enough to be consider in the main cast or not.

I see the page is once again under protection, only this time for a month. Once the protection is lifted, I will resume edit warring again. Goodbye for now.

The opening credits, song lyrics, title card, website, and article written commenting on the above collectively those are indications that she is a main. What I don't see from the IP is any other evidence that shows all the other characters except Vicky are mains. Same with Sparky, Poof, Chloe. Chloe has news articles as being considered a main for season 10.

Another option to remove the protagonist problem is to redo the groupings entirely to: Turner and fairy family, neighbors, schoolmates and staff, fairies, etc. and do away with villains / protagonists / antagonists.

Regarding the opening, it's not like Big City Greens where a character gets a featured still and their character name listed. But it's not The Simpsons either where the character is only there for that super quick panning of the hundreds of characters. They also make it a gimmick where she appears in the final animation of the opening and her head is changed to something or someone random different for each episode (much like the Simpsons couch / chalkboard). .

Per the MOS, the table for characters by season is not necessary. This isn't a show where the actors have certain star or recurring billing. This is a cartoon show.
