In a few cases on this New London County NRHP list, it seems to make sense for the NRHP HD to be redirected and merged with a hamlet/neighborhood article. These are:
It was discussed at Talk:Poquetanuck that these meet three criteria (correspond to a community of same name listed here; GNIS point location for community within .2 miles of centroid of NRHP HD; and HD is listed for its Event association. Others discussed (including Mystic Bridge Historic District, Mystic River Historic District and Hallville Mill Historic District) do not meet one or more of those criteria.
For these ones, please don't split out a separate NRHP HD article unless a) you have created or are actively developing a DYK-equivalent length starter article using substantial information, and b) you judge in good faith that it is beneficial to have the NRHP HD be a separate article.
For all others NRHP articles, stub or hopefully more developed, are welcomed. For all CT NRHPs, a free good source is available, the NRHP nomination document, upon email request to nr_reference (at) nps.gov. doncram ( talk) 14:15, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Yantic Falls Historic District and Yantic Woolen Company Mill are two different places on the Yantic River.
According to Mapquest, the two districts are about three miles apart. 71.234.215.133 ( talk) 11:24, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
I found information for a good stub start on Cooper Site in Lyme. Should I add a few sentences to the city's article or ask that the Cooper Site article be started? 71.234.215.133 ( talk) 16:03, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
