Anita Sarkeesian the feminist writer was mistakenly included on this list. I deleted her. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Myglesias ( talk • contribs) 18:11, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
Under Jewish mobsters, you forgot Abe Bernstein, a leader of the " Purple Gang," a mostly Jewish gang from Detroit, which gained prominence during prohibition. 149.4.46.65 5 September 2006, 19:33 (UTC)

Since WP is not supposed to be composed of mere lists, would it not be better to incorporate this entire article as the named subsection in Jewish-American organized crime? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sbharris ( talk • contribs) 22:54, 17 April 2007 (UTC).
As discussed regarding similar issues with List of Italian-American and Irish-American mobsters, this is an issue involving specific articles not lists or categories. Also, given the contradictory templates, I've removed the refences and verify templates as references identifying those involved in organized crime are listed in the "references", "further reading" and "external links" sections. Move Moses Annenberg (1877–1942) to here. What is the proof that he is a "certifiable" "mobster" please? Nothing in the Wikipedia article about him says that he was a "mobster." Going to jail for tax evasion does not equal being a "mobster." See WP:LIBEL. IZAK 05:55, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
If one who is reading this is a polyglot, please translate any of the pages in this section into Hebrew- this would be greatly appreciated - thank you
Somebody needs to add something to Annenberg's page about him being a mobster if he is to remain here. Remember, this is not a list of criminals, it is a list of mobsters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.128.51.0 ( talk) 22:42, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Look, guys, here's the issue. This article had been marked that it needed inline citations since October 2007. That's a long time, but there had been a list of books that were given as references included for that long as well. User:Evenmoremotor changed that reference section heading to "Further reading", which was misleading and negated the fact that at least book references were given. [1] The only problem with the edit made by IP 71.184.49.28 here was that a link to a geocities page was added. That was all that was necessary to remove, the inline citations are valid, proper and needed. There is no reason to edit war over this, on either parts, nor remove what was a lot of work to cite the people, none whatsoever. Meanwhile, User:Evenmoremotor should recognize that when an IP editor works on a page on more than one occasion, his or her IP may be on a dynamic connection, which means that the complete IP number may change each time. The assumption of good faith is supposed to occur, and sock puppet cases should not be opened because the dynamic IP changes. That isn't what WP:SOCK is meant for and it wastes everyone's time. Work it out here, don't forum shop, User:Evenmoremotor for someone to back you up and try working with people, not fighting against them. It's tiresome. Some of your edits are fine, others, as I've noted before, are based on either a misunderstanding or a misapplication of guidelines and policies. You can't simply try and bully people into seeing things your way. You should consider that just perhaps, editors with more experience may have a better understanding of how policies and guidelines are applied. Wildhartlivie ( talk) 06:31, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
First off, I did the most of the work in sourcing this article. I've seen that recently some anonymous editors have been posting fake names to the list but I don't understand why perfectly notable mobsters were removed. When I sourced the remaining red linked names, which I did explain in my edit summary, you immediately prod the article. Kind of an extreme reaction don't you think? Aside from WP:RED, I think this list clearly meets Wikipedia:Categories vs lists (which I realize is an essay, not policy). I hope you'll do me the courtacy of responding here before taking this to AFD. 72.74.196.176 ( talk) 12:12, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Many different editors deleted peoples pages from wikipedia for various reasons. If they don't meet the criteria for a wikipedia page, then they don't belong here. Brest Voblast ( talk) 21:08, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Brest Voblast

The image File:BoWeinberg.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
