Lack of reliable sources for subdivisions' GDP

Calling this article into question. In Malaysia, the Department of Statistics only publishes GDP figures up to state-level; they have never published GDP data for cities and municipalities. Refer here: https://www.dosm.gov.my/portal-main/search?theme=231&keyword=GDP&page=1&per-page=10

How did the author acquire GDP figures for entities like Greater Penang when there isn't any official data available? hundenvonPG ( talk) 05:17, 18 October 2023 (UTC) reply

This lack of sourcing also seems to be true for the Singapore data as well, though that was quite a recent addition.
Even their population figures seem to be off :/ Nomeluk ( talk) 21:26, 23 June 2024 (UTC) reply
