Need to point out that this is an unstable software to a total uselessness. The Linux version - of 2020-april-12 - crashes when called from the Windows version. Or from another SIP phone under Windows. The Linux version also crashes when the call is picked up in the Windows version. (of Linphone itself) The Linux version is still called 'alpha' - after so many years. Why is it called Linux-phone?
As to the "Why is it called Linux-phone?" :
because

While I'm able to understand all of what is said, I'm pretty confident not everyone would feel that way. Too many links to unnecessary information and too little other information on the application itself. It's written from the POV of a *nix crowd and as such won't help other people understand the application or reasons of usage any better. Compare Yate or Mumble.
