I've tried to make this section clearer without much success, Would someone with local knowledge look at it? (St. Marks closed in 1985)
<quote>Up to closure St. Marks was the mainline station with through services from Cleethorpes to London. Prior to closure of the Lincoln to Grantham line during the Beeching Axe, London services had used Lincoln Central station. Direct services were stopped with rail privatisation requiring a change of train at Newark North Gate. </quote> 86.141.232.150 ( talk) 10:10, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on

Next station: Hykeham. Line closed, station open.
Here's a nice image of the portico that was used in the article until 2014. If it's added to the article text it appears disconnected at the bottom because the article is short and the infobox and line diagram quite large. We could replace the image in the infobox. On the one hand, I like using a picture with a train to illustrate a station but, OTOH, that platform could be almost anywhere while the portico is distinctive. Any thoughts?
