March 3 in the USA is "Constitution Day" in the USA, the anniversary of the signing of the US Constitution. It's also "Citizenship Day", which honors those who are new citizens. It's not "Liberation Day" within the definition in this article. jeff.lopez-stuit 15:12, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
The definition as it stands right now referrs to 'secession from another state' but that hardly seems the right term for Kuwait. I'm not sure what a better phrasing would be, though - any ideas? Fasrad 03:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
There is no mention of a Liberation Day in Mali on Nov 19 (or any other day) on Public holidays in Mali. Where did this info come from? - Shadzane ( talk) 01:08, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Some of the place names are in italics but I'm not seeing an explanation of why. PurpleChez ( talk) 12:07, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
According to the Wikipedia entry " Victory in Europe Day" the Island of Sark in the Channel Islands celebrates May 10th. ☺ Dick Kimball ( talk) 19:03, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

The 8th of May is a rememberence day for the liberation of Germany (and Europe) from national socialism, see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_der_Befreiung - according to this article it was a holiday in the GDR (as far as I now, it is not (and was not) a holiday in West-Germany) (the 9th of May is listed in the list as liberation day in Guernsey) -- Cholo Aleman ( talk) 08:05, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
