This article is sorely in need of expansion. It should tell more about the history and tradition of the original Finnish holiday. Right now almost a third of the article is about celebrating Laskiainen in Palo, USA.

I have added more material about Finnish Laskiainen based on
fi:Laskiainen. The length of the article has grown almost three-fold. It's about time an article about a Finnish celebration actually contained material about Finnish traditions, not just American ones.
