The following seemed out of place in the article and was thus removed: "Colonel Chewang Rinchen, MVC & Bar, SM, (Retd.) joined the Army (J&K Militia) as the youngest Junior Commissioned Officer in 1947, at the tender age of 17½. He won the first Maha Vir Chakra (MVC) for the Regiment in the 1947-48 Jammu & Kashmir operations. He won another MVC for the Regiment in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Later on in his distinguished military career, Colonel Rinchen was appointed the Honorary Colonel of the Ladakh Scouts." If anyone can put the information back in the article in a way that make sense or wants to create another separate article for Col. Rinchen, they are welcome to but it seems at the time he is only notable for being an officer at such a young age. VarunRajendran ( talk) 15:58, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: moved. It also emerges that this was originally moved from "Ladakh Scouts" by a cut and paste move by Skcpublic in 2011, so I have merged the page histories and restored talk comments above. Number 5 7 13:04, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
