Is there any information on the linguistic history of the name of the lake? Mwahcysl ( talk) 19:24, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
It is an artificial lake in Kodaikanal, created by a Victorian gentleman by damming a stream. There is no reason to suspect a complex linguistic history. More pertinent is the history of the name of Kodaikanal, for which you will need to ask a Tamil scholar. Jellytussle ( talk) 22:34, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
