Notable topic?
I added a lead to make this article a bit more understandable. But I'm not convinced this is a notable topic. Most of the refs are general heat transfer refs that don't necessarily deal specifically with the kernel trick mentioned here. This work might be better suited as a section on calculation techniques for heat transfer calculations in a more general article. --
