Can someone clarify what law(s) has this man broken? e.g. are there laws in Japan such as 'thou shall not peek under girls' skirts?', did he violate someone's right to privacy? or was it sexual harrassment, etc -- 68.61.28.45 01:48, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
He violated nuisance laws. "第五条 何人も、人に対し、公共の場所又は公共の乗物において、人を著しくしゆう恥させ、又は人に不安を覚えさせるような卑わいな言動をしてはならない。" (Article V Obscene languages and behaviors, which make people shame or embarrassed, in public places or public vehicles are forbidden) - Tokyo ordinance against disturbing the peace.-- 1523 00:33, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Well informed Japanese academics believe that the arrest was instructed by Government in an attempt to destroy Uekusa's credibility, because he was a sharp critic of Government fiscal and monetary policies. He was arrested by supposedly Kanagawa Prefecture Police in Tokyo, which is outside of Kanagawa Prefecture Police's boundary. This could happen only when and if special police (Koh-an) was involved.
What, exactly, is the reason for including the line 'Spouse: woman who is 7 years old younger' in the biography infobox? Apart from its ungrammaticality, it seems spiteful and doesn't convey any useful information about the man. - Shai-kun 22:07, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
Is there a source to the statement that his handmirror is named that? Does he call it that, or is it a nickname the Japanese media has given it? As the article reads, it doesn't make much sense... 68.149.233.141 06:03, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Image:Uekusa.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:20, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm wondering why the amount of Yen in also converted into british pounds, generally it uses American dollar,s and if it's because the main currecies for English wikipedia are US and pounds why isn't Canadian included? Should this be removed?
Shouldn't that be "Monetary" in the Career section? I'm not sure if it's simply a typo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davor.danach ( talk • contribs) 03:25, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Oh, that's too clear for us if you read his own article in which the person Uekusa stated that Wikipedia contains various false contents(URL: http://uekusak.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2010/11/post-5ec3.html). And I edited its page and will reedit it until there is no more libels against the person from Wikipedia. You have to notice that who continues the war is not me but the multiple account user. I have to protect Uekusa from any violation of human rights. URL: http://uekusak.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2010/11/post-5ec3.html Ejoe2 ( talk) 16:11, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
