Edit Requests
This
edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.
Hi, I work for KB Home and have a
WP:Conflict of Interest so I wanted to know if someone else could approve and post these edits. Thank you!
Change “The company has built 550,000 homes since its founding” to “The company has built 630,000 homes since its founding.”
ImplementedUpdate infobox with current financial statistics for fiscal year 2019:
ImplementedAdd this line to the History section “In April 2008, KB Home published its first Sustainability Report, which outlined the company's environmental, social responsibility and economic sustainability accomplishments. It has produced this report annually for 13 years.” Citation is
https://www.builderonline.com/design/kb-home-emits-its-13th-annual-sustainability-report_o
Can you add the following line to the History section?
In January 2019, KB Home, in partnership with Builder Magazine, built the KB Home ProjeKt in Henderson, Nevada. The model home was intended to showcase sustainability, smart home technology and home building technology that supports the occupants mental, emotional and physical health, like circadian cycle lighting, acri-microbial paint and smart air purifiers.
Add a line about EPA recognition to the History section
In October 2020, KB Home was recognized by the EPA and awarded the WaterSense Sustained Excellence Award. This was the fourth consecutive year in which KB Home received this award. They were the only home builder to receive the award in 2020.
Add Homes 4 Wounded Warriors to the History Section
In February 2020, KB Home partnered with Jared Allen’s Homes 4 Wounded Warriors and built a mortgage-free new home for veterans of the U.S. Air Force who sustained combat-related injuries in Afghanistan and Iraq.
I'll dive in a bit deeper, but at first glance these look OK.
Couple quick notes:
No trademarks, so I'll remove those
EPA isn't a good source for something the EPA did, but the other sources should work.
The KB Home Office, Energy Star and Projekt lines are a bit too promotional. I'll rewrite.
I just glanced at them, so maybe I need to read more closely, but I don't see anything about KB Home being "the only" home builder to win the award. Unless that's stated explicitly, I'll drop that line.
Lastly, these are new edits, so I'll either change the flag or make these a new request, since I closed your previous request. Going through the formal edit request method is best.
That’s a decently good source and not a press release. No sources with a byline? I’ll take a quick look. If I can’t find anything else, this will work.
Looks good. I may rewrite slightly. If the project was done with Builder magazine, I’m not sure I can use them as a source, but the Forbes source is good. I'll add some wiki links too.
Similarly, EPA won’t work as a source. The other sources should work, even though they only discuss the upcoming 2020 award. I don’t see anything about KB Home being the only home builder to win the award in those sources, so I’ll need to drop that line.
Looks fine
Sources look good. I’ll need to remove the trademark symbol. See WP:Trademarks
Looks fine
That source is just a press release, so it won’t work. Do you have another one?
Done
Ckane12345. Made it (much) smaller and added the caption from Commons. (Also edited your comment to make it smaller so that the page doesn't overflow. Hope you don't mind me editing your comment.) Since this request is closed, if you have other requests, I'd recommend a new Edit Request entirely. --

COI Edit Request
This
edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.
Hello, I previously requested some edits above and have a few more:
Remove "and was a Fortune 500 company", in the very first paragraph, this is inaccurate. Then the rest are for the 2008-2021 section.
