Apparently the child of Hugo and Rita in the upcoming third film could be considered an F1 hybrid. That is, if one were to take the storyline seriously in the manner of Star Trek fans arguing over which would cause a bigger explosion, an overloaded phaser or an overloaded Romulan disrupter. However, with the introduction of trolls in the TV storyline, the TV canon contains what could be considered magical creatures, which puts questions of genetics into a parascientific context. "It is now believed that this image was a hoax and that the creature mentioned is a jungle dog that Hugo and Rita found. The image was probably created after someone saw the book cover that depicts this creature."
Which book? are the movies based on a book? or a book was made of the movies?
Also, the claim about the controversy with the supposed hybrid/jungle dog really needs a citation.
I've removed this part. The third movie has come out and it's been confirmed that the animal isn't their child, so I don't think it's relevant any more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.39.0.38 ( talk) 02:59, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Since the original movies and eps of the TV series were removed from Youtube, Jungledyret's internet fanbase has vanished almost entirely, you know, users who made Jungledyret known on Youtube such as XFighter or Keldog09 now are gone, it have been months since i last saw an new Hugo or Rita's art on DeviantART, and the fansite seems completely deserted(on less than a year, the domain will be sold, surely), is very sad and im dissapointed with the loss of fans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.216.49.48 ( talk) 04:48, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
It is a good movie, but honestly, its a Danish children's movie! Does it really deserve all this attention? Sonicscream2 ( talk) 00:40, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I honestly do not understand why any of this really matters to anyone. First of all, this is a Danish childrens movie that very few have ever watched or even heard of. And second, you have to understand that people have short attention spans. They're always looking for the next great thing to entertain themselves, even if it is something like Jungledyret. People will get tired of that yellow koala thing and the fox eventually. They will grow tired of watching their wonderful adventures in the magical realm that is Denmark, I know this as a fact. But it is nothing to get upset about. So get over yourself. Joebob23 ( talk) 14:27, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Hello, i am the guy who created this message back on Nov 2008, and i must say that when i wrote this message i was feeling a bit sad, and that actually my former interest for Jungledyret Hugo had faded away, but now i have totally overcome that. And to Joebob23, your response of "get over yourself" is kinda rude, i actually did get over it long ago, like i said, i was feeling sad when i wrote this message. Greetings to everyone.-- Lester Large ( talk) 04:03, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
I came here essentially hoping to find out what "dyret" is supposed to be in Jungledyret, and there's no mention of it or any direct English translation of the title, despite that being an almost ubiquitous thing for any foreign word or title on WP. A little help? 46.208.118.178 ( talk) 11:54, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
Dyr = animal, dyret = the animal, so: Hugo the jungle animal
Since some people wrongly assume that this show has an English dub, I decided to add a new rule on the jungledyret Hugo page Johnashu ( talk) 15:19, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
