The section labeled "Controversy" says this: "The incident received national headlines in newspapers and news magazines. Paulk remained in his position as manager of the Homosexuality and Gender Department until choosing to leave that position in 2003."
However, it says in the introduction of the article that Paulk was "removed" from those positions of leadership (in Exodus, as well as Love Won Out) because he was caught in a gay bar called "Mr P's." Both cannot be true, so this needs to be rectified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.126.226.142 ( talk) 16:34, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Betty Bowers is a parody website -- can we be sure that image wasn't photoshopped?
In an effort to tighten up the Exodus International article, I moved most of the detailed material concerning Mr. Paulk from Exodus to this article (John Paulk). I also removed some of the uncited material that was previously under the section marked "controversy", and replaced it with a more verifiable source. There are still a few statements (made prior to my work on Exodus International) that need citations. If not verified within a month or so, please do remove them. Are Paulk and his wife both Christians now? If so, which denomination? Are they still both ex-gay? Are they active in the church and the ex-gay movement? Alfred Kinsey ( talk) 12:24, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Several parts of this article are POV, and by looking through previous versions of the article, I can tell that it has seen been changed. For example, the article reads: His overcoming of homosexuality is the subject of his autobiography Not Afraid to Change. The article reads like ex-gay propaganda, and violates Wikipedia:Fringe theories. Camillex555 ( talk) 13:27, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

I have removed the following dead links from the article, but I do not want them to disappear into the ether because they are part of Paulk's life and fact patterns.

An editor without a user account, claiming in edit summaries, recently did some extensive editing on this article, which has since been reverted. Since he is unlikely to check the IP talk page, I am addressing him here, with hops that he will see it and be able to address concerns.
