I just cut this section out and would be glad to replace it following a bit of reference or confirmation or . . . ... . something. Carptrash 04:07, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Below is from the article on John LaFarge.
"Born in New York City, New York, his interest in art was aroused during his training at Mount Saint Mary College and Fordham University."
It is incorrect that he went to Mount Saint Mary College in New York. He attended Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Please make this change in the article and change the linked information to the article on Mount St. Mary's University.
Thank you,

Both seem to be widely used. Which is more correct, does anyone know? -- Stormie ( talk) 06:27, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
The article says that LaFarge is venerated as a saint of the Episcopal Church in the United States of the Anglican Communion.. but it goes on to say his son became a Roman Catholic priest. I know that Anglican saints are not always Anglican (ex: St. Francis, Martin Luther, John Wesley, etc), but do we know what religion LaFarge was? I would guess Catholic, but wikipedia is not for guessing.. -- Willthacheerleader18 ( talk) 22:31, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Add an external link to https://www.painecastle.com/ as a reference to the examples of John La Farge's art that are resident in that structure.
The page currently has a new bullet (added by me) for the John Paine Mansion, that contains at least one, and we are working on confirming two other, John La Farge windows. The link above is to the website of the corporation that owns the building and is responsible for its historic preservation. It should be added as a reference because it is the only place on the internet where images and information about these examples of La Farge's art exist. However, I am the VP of that org and although I am not seeking compensation, this is apparently a conflict of interest for me to add an external link or edit the page, so I am submitting this request for edits.
If you're looking for external proof that our window was actually done by La Farge, we have board members who were involved in establishing the provenance. Gargiulo.keith ( talk) 15:17, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
