Was his father's name really spelled "Herald", as the article currently states? The name is usually "Harold". — Josiah Rowe ( talk • contribs) 03:42, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Some sources say he was born in 1928. His age is obvious in his pictures because he looks older than someone born in 1931 in any year. In addition, he graduated in 1952 from University and then went on to service. If he was born in 1931, he would have graduated from university later in 1955-6 and gone to service after 1955. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.29.77.82 ( talk) 09:16, 10 April 2007 (UTC).
I realize this is a very old entry on this Talk page, but are you seriously suggesting that a three-year age difference is evident by the way the person appears in pictures? A three-year age span is pretty much only discernible in small children. As for when someone graduates from “university,” I completed college in two years and graduated at age 19. What do you guess my age to be? MarydaleEd ( talk) 04:45, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
Ages are not always easy to determine. I have a recently-arrived neighbour, an elderly woman who appears to be in her seventies. She is frequently visited by her son, who appears to be a young man about thirty. A couple of days ago he told my sister that his mother is ninety-five and that he was born in the 1950s. If he was born as late as 1959 he would be sixty - and he could have been born even earlier than that. O Murr ( talk) 18:13, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
Cannot find evidence of Gavin ever being nominated for an Academy Award, as stated in the first sentence.

His birth name was Golenor, in Spanish style Golenor y Pablos or Golenor Pablos. "Gavin" was a stage name, no reason for his mother to take it. 173.21.65.42 ( talk) 22:32, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Does this sound odd to anyone else? Cecily Evans (m. 1957–1957; divorced); 7 children Constance Towers (1974–present); 2 stephchildren by this marriage How could he have been married for one year and had 7 kids? -- 98.246.156.76 ( talk) 22:09, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
Text is muddled. Alludes to a Presidency but doesn't define it with dates. Bellagio99 ( talk) 20:37, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
