Just reading the Life section, which states the subject was a "scribe" at a newspaper.
Um, what newspaper? If he was, indeed, a scribe at an existing newspaper then his newspaper cannot, logically, be the first newspaper.
I don't have access to the source material, anyone else know what this (I assume) earlier newspaper is that is referred to in this article?

Johann Carolus was born before France annexed the Alsace. There's no reason to use the modern french name of his birthplace. 2003:F1:6701:AE03:20DE:C8F2:3FEC:FFFA ( talk) 01:43, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
