what part of the jack pines do you eat
None. The tree is not edible —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.216.204.19 ( talk) 18:08, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I edited this to change the sort order on the page for the Category:Pinus. It had been set to alphabetize under Pine. That might make sense for categories where there are a lot of trees and a few of them are pines; then all the pines group together. But on the page where everything is a pine, it made more sense to alphabetize under Jack. 140.147.236.194 ( talk) 15:02, 13 April 2010 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
I see that this usage goes back for years, but it strikes me as odd. To me it should simply be jack pine—no "the". Any comments? Pinethicket ( talk) 15:02, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources the worlds largest Jack pine is located in the Lake Bronson state park. ≈≈≈≈ — Preceding unsigned comment added by SoCalSiouxFan ( talk • contribs) 07:37, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
