This article is very poorly written for the following reasons, it was clearly written or edited extensively by an organization member because of its repeated and terribly obvious use of the first person possessive. This article is extremely disorganized and has no section partitioning, it is one big blob of text. This article also has no citations. Whether or not this article is of high or low importance it has to have some standard of decency according to Wikipedia's rules and criteria. {{subst:proposed deletion}

Look at the version history - since November 2010 it has had many edits, many adding unwikified content. Prior to those, the article was a stub requesting further input. Apart from cleaning up and wikifying, I don't see the need to delete the article just because it is currently badly formatted. I'll remove your prod - go to AfD if you think it needs deleting.

Agreed; this article does not need to be deleted as a whole. However, entire portions of this article do, as they are irrelevant, indefensible via citations, and indicate shameless self-promotions where the first person possessive is used obviously, blatantly, conspicuously to refer to aspects of Jack and Jill of America. Describing an event as "our".... is as obvious as it can possibly get. This page's disappointment of Wikipedia's standards are some of the worst I have ever seen on Wikipedia and I wish that some way of communicating the urgency of changes be made possible which is why I proposed deletion.

Do we really need to know the esoteric details relating to membership fees and which child of which member is regarded as having bona fide legacy status 20 years later? Vast swathes of this promotional brochure need to be excised, and the English improved overall.

I'm a college professor who teaches multicultural courses. This article and others like it on the black middle class are very helpful to students in understanding Spike Lee's films, particularly School Daze. And they cost nothing to assign. Please do not delete this article.

I added a table that lists the regions, states within, and local chapters to clean up and organize the history section. The listings of the regions was rather vague and in two different spots, so this section makes it easier to reference the chapters. — Preceding
