Perhaps change "The Bridge of Glass passes over I-705 as it continues north" to "The Bridge of Glass, which , links the Museum of Glass on the shorefront to downtown Tacoma, passes over I-705 as it continues north"
It doesn't appear that it was, they admitted that it was part of a bigger EPA cleanup area, but it didn't seem to stop them, since they still had their EIS. --

Are there any future plans for construction or seismic upgrades?
In terms of a complete history,
this page has a photo of the construction of a new I-5 collector lane with the caption "When complete, the I-5 South 48th Street to Pacific Avenue project will provide a new multi-lane, northbound collector/distributor road which will include a new northbound exit to I-705, and an improved merge from SR 16." It is dated September 30, 2006.
That project was on I-5 between 48th and Pacific, and just resulted in a slightly different ramp than before feeding into 705, it has nothing to do with 705 its self. --
