I'm not sure if this should be added, but mathematician Dror Bar-Natan has an interesting page [8] on the northern I-695/I-95 intersection. Ttwaring 19:58, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
We should add control cities to this page, but I'm not HTML-smart enough to do it, I'll contribute to it after it is made. TechMath 17:16, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm slightly familiar with this road, having driven over it in the past, although not recently. So that helps in reviewing this one.
First, its weaknesses. The prose could be better, particularly by breaking up some of the run-on sentences (the third one in the second graf under "History" is a beaut in that department). Had I been the writer, I would have used the "MD XXX" form on all references, not just the first, as I tend to in my own articles. But I'm aware there's no consensus within the roads projects yet on this, so I'll defer to the nominator here. I fixed a couple of stylistic errors (song titles always go in quotes), and "portions" takes a plural (as should "remains", I think). There are also a few redlinks that should either have articles created or be delinked until such time as they are.
But I don't find any of this fatal to its effectiveness as an encyclopedia article. Its structure and comprehensiveness tell me what I want to know, and what there is to know. Nor do any glaring unsourced statements pop out. So it's a good article.
Understand, however, that for the same reasons given above I would not support it in its present form for FA. Those will need to be addressed if that status is sought. Daniel Case ( talk) 02:46, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
In google maps, in washington dc, there is a stretch of highway from south capitol street to the 11th st bridge labeled I-695/I-395. I'm not sure if google maps made a mistake or it should be included somewhere on this wikipedia page. It is the stretch of interstate that made me search for I-695. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.44.122.49 ( talk) 19:39, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
I've just been looking at various Grid Maps made by the Maryland SHA, all dated 2013, and the only two references I see to MD-695 are on the Beltway's short stretch on Map D-13B and the southernmost shield on C-13C (the one with the northeastern 95/695 interchange). All other shields along the stretch identified as MD-695 in the article are I-695 shields, including one just southeast of the 95/695 interchange mentioned and all on Map D-13A which shows the stretch between Maps D-13B and C-13C. I interpret this to mean that MD-695 has been replaced and the two MD shields that I mentioned above were simply overlooked when the others were replaced on the maps. I'll wait for more evidence though before changing the article and the Francis Scott Key Bridge (Baltimore) article. Mapsax ( talk) 14:14, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
